The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Chief Executive in the Western Region, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has supported the Muslim community in the area with food items to aid their observance of Ramadan.
Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah made the donation on behalf of the Municipal Assembly to Muslims within the municipality as they undertake a one-month period of fasting and prayer.
The gesture, according to the MCE, was to recognize the spiritual significance of Ramadan and support members of the Muslim community as they make sacrifices during the holy month.
He added that the donation was part of the assembly’s corporate responsibility through the common fund, assisting significant occasions in the municipality including the Ramadan festivities.

Items donated included 39 bags of sugar, 130 bags of 50kg rice, and 35 cartons of milk.
Raymond Nana Ebbah commended President John Dramani Mahama for his swift disbursement of the District Assembly Common Fund, enabling them to carry out such important responsibilities.
The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Chief Executive described the area as a Muslim-dominated community and said supporting those observing Ramadan was fitting.
Raymond Nana Ebbah expressed appreciation to the Muslim community in his municipality for their continued prayers and goodwill for Ghana and the people of Amenfi East.
Raymond Nana Ebbah further wished Muslims a peaceful and blessed fasting period and prayed for unity, peace, and prosperity for residents of Wassa Akropong and the entire Wassa Amenfi East area.
