In an effort to prevent the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) from using illegal means to win the next elections on December 7, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to oppose them.

This reply comes after remarks made by Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong, a member of parliament representing Abetifi, who asserted that the NPP will do every effort to win the elections in December.

Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, stated in a Citi News interview monitored by Ghanatodayonline.com that the party will track down and deal with any individual or organization endangering Ghana’s democracy.

“We will not burn the sea and I can assure Bryan Acheampong that the nonsense that they [his government] showed Ghanaians in 2020, a repetition of same will make people like himself victims of their schemes. Ghana will not die. Ghana will stay strong. Ghana will stay united.

“But we will fish out hoodlums and hot-headed people like Bryan Acheampong who are a danger and a threat to our democracy. I can give him that assurance that an inch of an attempt to do what is unlawful will be fiercely resisted and the persons who will be engaged will be singled out and dealt with.

“It doesn’t matter what it takes for us to do that. That will be done.”
