The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has urged Ghanaians to cast a large number of ballots against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the next general election on December 7 in opposition to what he claims is the reckless waste of public funds.
During his three-day campaign tour in the Upper West region, the NDC flagbearer addressed separate rallies in Nadowli and Wichaw. He stated that corruption and poor management by the NPP-led government had caused a significant economic crisis in the nation.
Mahama insisted that if the NPP wins the next elections, the people will be supporting economic hardship and impunity.
“Any person who votes for NPP in this election is voting for impunity. Encouraging them to do what they have done to the citizens, and the pain they have inflicted on the citizens. What you are saying is you don’t find anything wrong with it.
Since you find nothing wrong with the way the NPP has mismanaged this economy, you cast your support for them. I think the greatest message Ghanaians can give the NPP and the rest of the world is that enough harm has been done, and it’s time for them to step down and take stock of what they’ve done to our nation.
As he continues his second day of touring the Upper West, the NDC flag bearer will be stopping in places like Funsi, Nabulo, Tumu, and Gwollu today, October 13.
