Kelvin Nii Kpakpo, a 25-year-old mobile money vendor from Kasoa Big Man Town near Poolside Hotel in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region, is fighting for his life at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital. He was shot by three armed robbers.
Around 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, the victim was being attacked by thieves brandishing pistols and pump action rifles.
They stole an unspecified sum of money.
Eyewitnesses informed the media that the three thieves, who were between the ages of 18 and 20, were shooting randomly, which led to a bullet hitting the mobile money dealer and gravely hurting him.
Thankfully, pictures of the burglars were recorded by the hotel’s CCTV cameras, which may help authorities apprehend them.
The Kasoa Police Station has received a report of the incident for investigation in the interim.
