Young people and music fans are anticipated to congregate on Saturday night to see performances by well-known music icons.

The renowned artists will alternate performing for their fans as part of the Ashanti Fest, a ceremony held in the region to commemorate Easter.

Entertainment acts and bands like Y-Pee, Mass Mello, Bosoma, Strongman, Seven Kiss, and Allo Dancers are promoted to perform that evening.

YGA O’Kenneth and Beetztrap, two members of the well-known Asakaa Boys who are adored by the city’s youngsters, are anticipated to wow the crowd on the day.

Residents should be more excited over the Easter break thanks to the MTN-sponsored concert that is a part of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council’s (ARCC) ongoing Ashanti Festival.

It is anticipated that these hiplife and highlife groups will delight music event attendees with recordings of their previous extremely vivacious dance and movement styles as well as their unique, captivating artwork.

The Rattray Park, the location of the musical concert, was being prepared to handle the massive crowds that were anticipated to arrive on Saturday at the time this article was filed.

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, claims that some young people’s request during a cleanup effort gave rise to the idea of holding a festival.

On social media, the minister requested ideas to sustain the event for two weeks. Series of events were therefore scheduled for the ten-day event in the region.

“The whole concept of the Ashanti Festival is to bring out our various sectors, showcase what we have as a Region and see how best we will be able to promote inter sectorial support for each other”, he said.

The Ashanti Fest, which was started to commemorate Easter in the Ashanti Region, is now in its last round of fun events.

To the delight of many, a jama competition, football games, and a boxing night have already been held.

The minister conducted a medical examination to ensure that Kumasi Central Prison inmates were not excluded from the occasion.

Alongside the movie, which was also available to the public, there was a blood donation event sponsored by multinational telecom company MTN. The Ashanti Fest, which was started to commemorate Easter in the Ashanti Region, is now in its last round of fun events.
