Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) national chairman, has started a thank-you tour in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency in the Eastern Region to recognize the work done by grassroots activists and party executives in the 2024 parliamentary election.
Speaking to party leaders and supporters, he clarified that he handled the parliamentary front while Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and President John Dramani Mahama led the presidential campaign.
He acknowledged that the NDC was able to win more parliamentary seats in the election thanks to the collective efforts of the grassroots.
He said the tour was an opportunity to show appreciation for the sacrifices and support that helped the party win parliamentary endorsement.
A Nsawam Adoagyiri Chief representative added his voice and urged the NDC government to give priority to resolving the constituency’s urgent problems, especially unemployment, in order to expand prospects for young people.
Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, the Eastern Regional Minister, also offered her support, praising the constituency’s hard work and calling for more solidarity as the party strives to fulfill its pledges.
