Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Superintendent Yakubu Issahaku, has claimed that armed National Security agents stormed his private home in Accra’s Sapeiman neighborhood on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Issahaku claims that around 6:14 p.m., his friend sent him a WhatsApp message informing him that about 30 armed and disguised military officers had broken into his house.

According to him, the operators severely damaged the property and ransacked it.

Broken security doors, disconnected CCTV systems, and the removal of internet routers, switches, and the hard drive from the house were among the damages that were recorded.

He said that every room in the house was purportedly searched without cause or legal backing.

According to Issahaku, the operation’s leader is a police superintendent who works out of the Blue Gate and is presently stationed in the Jubilee House.

Concerns regarding the purpose and legality of the raid were further heightened when Issahaku notably claimed to know the officer personally and that the superintendent is aware of their friendship.

Serious questions have been raised by the incident regarding the behavior of state security agents and the treatment of those connected to former high-ranking politicians.
