Dennis Owusu Ansah, 16, a recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduate who was scheduled to start school on Thursday, November 7, 2024, is allegedly killed by three teenage girls who are currently being held by the police.
Witnesses report that the incident happened in Anloga, Ashanti Region, on Monday night at approximately 7:30 p.m. after Dennis and one of the girls got into a fight as the three were taking a friend home. According to reports, one of the girls apparently produced a knife during the struggle and stabbed Dennis in the rib, causing significant bleeding.
After being taken to the hospital in a hurry, Dennis was declared dead.
His mother and brother have expressed their profound shock and anguish over the awful incident, leaving the victim’s family in ruins.
In the hopes that the inquiry would result in a prompt settlement and accountability, they are demanding that justice be done.
We were instructed to report on Thursday after visiting Tweneboa Kodua on Saturday. Therefore, I implore the authorities to make sure that justice is done because the child has passed away,” Stella Frimpong, the mother who passed away, said.
“What we, the family, need is for the government to help and make sure that justice is served because you can’t kill a boy just like that,” emphasized Evans Owusu Ansah, the deceased’s brother. You can’t just stab someone’s child when they are fifteen years old.
Therefore, the government must make sure that the proper action is taken. It amazes me that a youngster of her age could act in such a manner.
