Bosome Freho Assembly Members organize ‘funeral’ for their DCE who said he is dead

Bosome Freho District Assembly Members in the Ashanti Region over the weekend clothed in black and red attars to mourn their District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon Yaw Danso who asserted himself dead.

The concept of the Assembly Members to wear the funeral clothes comes after the District Executive Officer (DCE) for the district declared himself dead on live radio interview.

Hon. Yaw Danso, the Bosome Freho DCE in an interview with Edubiaseman FM, introduced his death after the lady interviewer requested his whereabout,” Hon. There is this video going viral from your assembly members that they can’t locate you, please, wherein are you?”. The DCE responded “Me, they are still looking for me, I’m dead, inform them I am dead”.

This remark has generated a number of backlashes for him inclusive of the Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim.

The Minister defined the remark from the DCE as beneath the belt and therefore called on the Assembly Members to calm down for his ministry to addresses their grievances.

To sympathized with the so referred to as ‘Late DCE’s’ family and cherished ones, all of the Twenty-Two Assembly Members who’ve vowed to pass vote of no confidence withinside the DCE, placed on funeral cloths as a manner of mourning their departed District Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Yaw Danso.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah and the Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly referred to as Chairman Wontumi met the assembly members to settle the problem among them and the DCE amicably however it became unsuccessful.

The Assembly Members insisted that, they’ll pass vote of no confidence in the DCE, whether or not he attends to their assembly meeting.
