Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has announced a 26-man squad for games against Madagascar and Comoros later this month in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Among the list are only two home-based players which includes Medeama SC duo Jonathan Sowah and Abdul Fatawu Hamidu- with the former missing out in the last call up.
Both players had their maiden Black Stars invite in September when Ghana faced Central African Republic in 2023 AFCON qualifier and Liberia in a friendly.
Skipper Andre Ayew, Daniel Amartey, Abdul Mumin, goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott have all made a return to the Black Stars and will be hoping to help the team set off a perfect start to the new campaign.
Ghana will take on Madagascar in their opening game of the qualifiers on Friday, November 17, at the Baba Yara Stadium before they travel to play Comoros in Moroni on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
