The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has disclosed a postponement in the disbursement of two main of allowances for November 2025, citing a technical issue faced during the last payroll processing.

In a statement released on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the Department mentioned that the technical issue required a halt in processing the impacted allowances to avoid any delays in the timely payment of November salaries for all Government of Ghana employees.

The CAGD decided to ensure that monthly salaries were paid on time while addressing the issue.

The statement was endorsed by Cephas N. Doso, Head of Public Relations, representing the Controller and Accountant-General.

The Department confirmed to employees—particularly in the education sector, heavily impacted by the delay—that the pending allowances will be completely paid with December 2025 salaries.

“The outstanding allowances will be paid together with the December 2025 salaries on 18th December 2025,” the statement added.

CAGD apologized for the inconvenience and commended all impacted employees for being patient while the technical problem was fixed.
