Video shows Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, the bodyguard of The New Force’s 2024 presidential candidate, attacking a man at a funeral in Mampong, Ashanti Region.
As the Mamponghene and Krontihene of Asanteman, Cheddar was one of the nobles who joined Asanteman in mourning the late Daasebre Osei Bonsu II.
The funeral ceremonies were held in Asante Mampong from June 6 and June 9, 2025.
A video that went viral shows Cheddar and his group entering a residence.
A man who was reportedly one of the mourners was seen standing close to the gate at the entry, which some accounts indicate was off-limits to the public.
The man fell to the ground as the bodyguard quickly grabbed him by the neck and punched him repeatedly.
The bodyguard abandoned the man after the attack and kept on following Cheddar.
The specific cause of the violent altercation is yet unknown.
