Church pleads for support for Children Ministry

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana congregation at Donyina in the Ashanti Region is calling on Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and philanthropists to support their children’s ministry in order to teach the word of God more effectively.

The appeal was made on Sunday, 23 November 2025, when the Eugene Offer Ansah Heart for Kids Foundation (EOA) from Accra donated items to the church’s Sunday School.

Sunday School teacher Endurance Amoako Agyemang receiving the items on behalf of the church thank the group for their kind gesture and as ‘Oliver Twist’ asked for more. According to him the children need a TV for Bible lessons, snacks to motivate them, and clothes they can wear to church every Sunday.

“When children learn with pictures, it stays in their minds. We will be very grateful if anyone can support us with these items,” she said.

 

CEO of EOA, Eugene Offer Ansah, said the purpose of the donation is to guide children to grow into responsible adults. He said the foundation regularly supports churches as part of its mission.

Mr. Ansah encouraged the children to use their Bibles well and urged individuals and organisations to keep supporting efforts that help children and promote God’s work.
