In the event that the new salary structure is not put into effect, the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has declared that it will go on a statewide strike that will begin on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

The association claims that the new pay structure would go into effect on January 1, 2023, as per a Memorandum of Understanding agreed in January 2022. The decision to strike was made because the implementation has been postponed for a year and a half.

The association’s executive secretary, Isaac Bampoe Addo, signed a statement announcing this development.
