The collation of the Ablekuma North parliamentary results has resulted in yet another altercation.
The procedure has been delayed because of the debate on Wednesday over the inclusion of a contested pink sheet.
Prior to a later collation, Nathaniel Klimsman Avumeh, the presiding officer for one of the polling stations in Ablekuma North, refused confirming the results from his polling place.
The Electoral Commission (EC) officials’ table was slammed by a party official, which caused commotion among the opposing party members and resulted in a brief physical brawl.
To stop more disturbances, police officers stepped in.
The EC was already directed by the High Court to complete the collation for Ablekuma North and three further constituencies.
The Ablekuma North procedure is still unfinished, even though the collation for the other three constituencies was finished and found to be in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
