Several pupils sustained injuries in a violent altercation between Form Two and Form Three students at Assin Nsuta Agricultural Senior High School in the Central Region; five of them are presently seeking medical attention in the hospital.
A Form Three student was allegedly seen having a romantic relationship with a Form One student in an unfinished building on the school premises, which is how the confrontation began.
The Form Three kid’s slap on a Form Two student who was watching the encounter caused the situation to develop, according to Assemblyman Bashiru Kwame Amakrah of the Assin Nsuta-Bepokokoo Electoral Area.
Three days later, Form Two students mobilized in retaliation and attacked Form Three pupils, setting off a tumultuous battle.
Students were wielding knives and clubs against one another throughout the altercation.
It was only via police involvement that the situation was brought under control and order was effectively restored to the campus.
