Abdul-Razak Failatu, a chef from Ghana, is attempting to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual by setting a new one in Tamale, Northern Region.

The Modern City Hotel is currently hosting the cooking marathon, which started on New Year’s Eve 2024.

With a record of 119 hours and 57 minutes, Irish chef Alan Fisher holds the Guinness cook-a-thon record. Chef Failatu wants to break that record by cooking nonstop for an incredible 120 hours.

The culinary achievement is a representation of Ghana’s thriving culinary scene as well as a monument to Chef Failatu’s commitment and talent.

The gathering of onlookers and supporters, who are cheering for Chef Failatu as she attempts to create history, is attracting attention to the event.

Anxiety mounts as the Tamale cooking marathon progresses, and the locals support Chef Abdul-Razak Failatu in her attempt to shatter the Guinness World Record.

Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum’s successful completion of her singing marathon Guinness World Record attempt, which lasted an astounding 126 hours and 52 minutes, precedes Chef Abdul-Razak Failatu’s attempt.
