Dancehall singer Shatta Wale and artist manager Bullgod have been given permission to resolve their defamation lawsuit outside of court by the Accra High Court.
Bullgod’s attorneys asked for an out-of-court deal despite initially bringing Shatta Wale to court.
Bullgod was requesting compensation for the defendant’s claimed defamation of him and publishing of false information (Shatta Wale).
Plaintiff’s attorneys, headed by Dr. Justice Srem-Sai, informed the judge in court on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, that the parties have begun settlement talks and will require a one-month adjournment.
After hearing from the parties, Judge Joseph Adu Agyemang Owusu, who is sitting over General Jurisdiction 13 of the Accra High Court, urged them to resolve the dispute out of court.
Shatta Wale published a statement on his Facebook profile on November 2, 2022, accusing Bullgod of being responsible for the death of aristist manager Fennec Okyere and other people.
The boss of Kwaw Kese was Fennec Okyere.
He was killed on Thursday, March 13, 2014, by unidentified attackers at his Manet Gardens home on the Spintex Road in Accra.
