The Kpandai parliamentary election will be held again within 30 days after today, Monday, November 24, 2025, according to an order from the Tamale High Court.
His Lordship Emmanuel Brew Plange made the decision in response to a legal challenge to the constituency’s 2024 parliamentary election results. The petition claimed that the final result’s legitimacy was impacted by anomalies in the voting and collation procedures.
Daniel Nsala Wakpal, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, filed the suit, claiming that there were significant irregularities in the election on December 7, 2024.
He claimed that 41 of the 152 polling stations had inconsistent Form 8A, or the “pink sheet,” and that these violations breached Regulations 39 and 43 of the Public Elections Regulations (CI 127).
In his ruling, Justice Plange maintained the petition and mandated that the Electoral Commission hold a fresh election to ascertain the legitimate winner.
