Seth Akwasi Agyapong, a steel bender, was placed under two weeks of police imprisonment by Kwadaso Circuit Court on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, for offensive conduct, vandalism, and threats of death.

Elder Doctor Bismarck Amoah, the founder and leader of the Bohye Prayer Center under the Church of Pentecost, owns an ongoing construction site in Akyeremade. On January 28, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Seth Agyapong, an incumbent assembly member for Kwanwoma Akyeremade, organized a group suspected of being violence breeders and went to the site. They destroyed some building materials, including cement blocks and other building materials worth hundreds of Ghana cedis.

On February 17, Mr. Agyapong is scheduled to return to court to face additional charges of offensive conduct, unlawful entry, cement block damage, and threatening to kill his predecessor, Hon. Justice Baffour Awuah, a renowned journalist and former Assembly member for the area, over alleged ongoing manhole construction in the area.

If he doesn’t admit guilt without a compelling reason, the court will probably remand him once more.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Mr. Agyapong returned to the former Assembly member’s home and threatened to commit himself and display his blood to the public in front of Chief Inspector Emmanuel Awelega. “I swear heaven and earth that I will end your life and show your own blood to the public” he stated.
