CPP suspends former chairperson Hajia Hamdatu from Communications team

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has suspended Hajia Hamdatu from its communications team immediately, due to remarks she made on a public platform that the party claims are inconsistent with its stance.

In a release from the Office of the National Communications Director, the CPP clarified that the choice is part of internal disciplinary actions designed to protect the party’s vision, mission, and official position on national matters.

The statement indicated that Hajia Hamdatu’s public comments contradicted the party’s established stance, leading leadership to intervene to avoid further misrepresentation of the CPP.

The party has instructed all media outlets, including print, radio, and television stations, not to involve Hajia Hamdatu as a CPP spokesperson or permit her to represent the party at any level or under any conditions.

The CPP emphasized that the directive is essential to guarantee that perspectives and opinions shared on media platforms accurately represent the party’s official stance.

The statement was signed by the CPP’s National Communications Director, Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah, who requested the media’s collaboration in maintaining the party’s communication standards.

SUSPENSION OF HAJIA HAMDATU FROM THE CPP’S COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

Hajia Hamdatu is hereby suspended as a member of the Convention Peoples Party’s Communications Team with immediate effect.

Hajia Hamdatu made a statement on a public platform which contradicts the position, vision and mission of the Convention Peoples Party.

This action has been taken against her as part of disciplinary measures which the Director of communications has to ensure at all times.

All media houses including print media houses, radio stations and television stations are advised not to engage Hajia Hamdatu as a CPP communicator who speaks for or speak on behalf of the party in any level or under any circumstances.
