DCOP Kwesi Ofori to serve on the security committee of the Bawumia Manifesto

Kwesi Ofori, a retired deputy commissioner of police (DCOP), has been chosen to join the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Manifesto Committee.

In the event that NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is elected President following the general election on December 7, the seasoned law enforcement official is anticipated to provide his skills to the security committee in the process of crafting a security strategy.

Edward Asomani, a former security officer and current National Security Coordinator, chairs the Security Committee.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the communications director for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, made this appointment public in a statement on Thursday, February 22.

After 35 years of service, devotion, and passion as a police officer, DCOP Kwasi Ofori left the Ghana Police Service.

He has held positions in the Office of the President, Accra Regional Operations Commander, Divisional Commander-Dodowa/Tema, District Commander-Adabraka, and District Commander-Dodowa.
