Delegation from European Parliament calls on Speaker

A team led by European Union Ambassador to Ghana Mr. Rune Skinnebach and Chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Mr. David Mcallister paid a courtesy call to Speaker of the House of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.

Trade, the development of Ghana-EU bilateral ties, the transfer of political power, and the advancement of peace and stability on the African continent were the main topics of discussion.

The Majority Leader, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, Second Deputy Minority Whip Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Chairman and Ranking Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee Hon. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije and Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor joined the Rt. Hon. Speaker in receiving the delegation.

 

Also represent were the Clerk to Parliament Mr. Ebenezer Ahuma Djietror, the Deputy Clerk (IMS) Mrs. Rosemary Arthur Sarko
