John Dramani Mahama, a former president and the leader of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), responded to Monday night’s Black Stars draw with Mozambique.
At the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, the Black Stars lost their final group B match against Mozambique, which prevented them from moving on to the round of 16.
Despite having a two-goal lead, Mozambique was able to equalize as the Black Stars blew away the goals.
With a final score of 2-2, Ghana may have been eliminated from the competition during the group stages once more.
The NDC flagbearer, who had expressed confidence in the team’s ability to meet the challenge in a previous Facebook post, responded to the game by writing:
“Disappointed but we live to fight another day.”
