Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is scheduled to formally file his nomination at the Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters in Accra on Monday, September 9, 2024.
An important phase in the NPP’s electoral preparations has been reached with this file.
Along with Dr. Bawumia, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, his running mate, and numerous other important party officials, including as the National Chairman, General Secretary, Majority Leader in Parliament, and other top party leaders, will be present.
Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to speak to the public and party members at the NPP headquarters later tomorrow morning following the filing.
The NPP’s general secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, signed a statement that was released on Sunday, September 8, 2024, highlighting the importance of the occasion.
“Members of the Party and the general public are invited to be part of this historic moment of POSSIBILITY in Ghana’s Next Chapter,” the statement stated.
