According to the Electoral Commission (EC), voter ID card replacement will start on Thursday, May 30, and run through Friday, June 14, 2024.
In advance of the general elections on December 7, this service is intended for people who have misplaced their voter ID cards.
The EC asked all voters who needed to replace their lost voter ID cards to pay for the replacement by using the shortcode 2221067# in a statement released on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
The statement said, “The cost for replacement is GH¢10 only.”
In order to expedite the replacement of their cards, the EC further directed applicants to furnish the District Officer with the reference code they obtained following payment.
This program is a part of the Commission’s efforts to guarantee that every qualified voter will be able to cast a ballot in the upcoming elections without any obstacles.
