Edward Adeti wins Journalist of the Year

At the 28th GJA Media Awards, Media Without Borders writer, reporter, and producer Edward Adeti was awarded the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year 2023.

A syndicate whose acts may have cost lives was exposed by Adeti’s investigative article, “Stealing from the Sick,” which also solved the riddle behind medicine shortages at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

He was awarded the esteemed P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year title for his innovative work.

Adeti was honored on Saturday, September 28, for his brave and influential reporting that demonstrates the commitment and skill of Ghanaian journalists in spite of the dangers and difficulties they encounter.

 

In addition, journalists were recognized in a number of categories at the 28th GJA Media Awards, including Investigative Journalism, Sports, Entertainment, Education, Health Reporting, Gender, Environment, and Science and Technology. Notably, Channel One’s Fred Duhoe won the Best Journalist for Television News Reporting award.
