Edward Bawa has been named the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s (GNPC) acting CEO by President John Dramani Mahama.
In compliance with Section 10(2) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Act, 1983 (P.N.D.C.L.64) and Article 195(1) of the Constitution, this appointment will take effect on Friday, January 17, 2025.
The appointment is contingent upon the Honourable Minister of Energy, after consulting with the Public Services Commission, providing the necessary advice. The President’s choice demonstrates his dedication to maintaining strong leadership within the GNPC.
The President wrote a formal letter congratulating the former MP for Bongo and wishing him well throughout his term. Dr. Callistus Mahama, the President’s secretary, made the statement.
