Nana Kwaku Atwere, the CEO of “The World Tour Entertainment,” has urged public school teachers to support their students’ development of a reading habit.

Speaking to Sarkodie Samuel, a reporter for brightwebtv news, during the read-and-win competition held on December 20, 2023, for lower primary schools under the direction of the Asokwa Municipal Education Directorate, Mr. Atwere stated that every child’s ability to read improves their knowledge.

The CEO added that such competitions will challenge students to work hard in the classroom in order to become great people in the near future and dispel the myth that students in public schools lack academic ability.

Taking advantage of the fact that all three of the competition’s finalists were boys, he also used the occasion to counsel girls to strive for academic excellence and to implore parents to ensure that their daughters receive the same level of attention for their studies as their boys.

Mr. Awere also expressed gratitude to Atonsu Hene for allowing them to host this educational program on his property, as well as to Time Herbal Center, Atwima Kwawoma Rural Bank, and Akrofrom Rural Bank for their sponsorship of the initiative.

He thus urged interested parties to support the implementation of this initiative for the benefit of the nation.

Nana Kwaku Atwere expressed his desire to hold this type of competition at least once every six months, with the goal of raising students’ reading levels, particularly in public schools.
