Ernest Kwaku Kobeah picks up nomination forms to contest Mahama

Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, a new candidate, has expressed interest in running as the flag bearer of the major opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The candidate for flag carrier selected his candidacy papers on February 22, 2023, a Wednesday.

Kobeah is certain that he will prevail and be able to head the NDC into the general elections of 2024.

The prospective flagbearer stated to reporters: “I am here to stand and build the new Ghana, I am not here for the future.

“I am here for now.”

In the UK, Mr. Kobeah belongs to the NDC.

He is an expert in drainage systems.

Professor Joshua Alabi, a former Greater Accra Regional Minister in the previous Mahama-led government, has also collected presidential nomination papers on behalf of his former boss.

Today, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Prof. Alabi gathered up the nomination papers for the former president John Mahama from the offices of the major opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

As a result, Mr. Mahama will run for re-election to continue serving as the party’s flagbearer leading up to the 2024 Presidency elections.

For the general elections in 2024, the NDC has opened applications for both its presidential and parliamentary candidates.

On the party’s main website, www.ghanandc.com, nomination papers for candidates for parliamentary office will be available for purchase by anyone.

Starting at 8 a.m. today, nomination papers for candidates for president can be acquired from the office of the general secretary at the party’s headquarters in Adabraka, Accra.
