The much-discussed Agyapadie document, according to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, is a roadmap for state capture by the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to reports, the Agyapadie document, outlines the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) complex scheme to appropriate state property.
He added that the document is real and that its intentions are now being implemented, even though President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo rejected it as a forgery meant to damage his political reputation.
John Mahama spoke on his campaign tour in the Upper East Region at a durbar attended by chiefs and queen mothers at the Bawku Naaba Palace. He stated that the current government has to be held responsible.
He continued by saying that the NDC will hold this administration responsible for the suffering and crises they caused Ghana to experience, as well as the numerous state capture schemes they carried out during the previous eight years, purchasing all state-owned property and accumulating personal fortune.
“Recently, there was an issue about a document called Agyapadie. They said it was fabricated. But even if it is fabricated, the implementation is not fabricated because everything that is written in that document has been implemented” Mahama stated.
