Famous Ghanaian waakye seller Auntie Muni is dead

Auntie Muni, a well-known waakye vendor, has passed away, the family confirmed to media.

After a brief illness, Auntie Muni passed away on Wednesday, January 3 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra.

Abdul Arafat, Auntie Muni’s son, stated in an interview with the media on Wednesday, January 3, that her burial will take place in Tamale today.

“Mum was ill and complaining of pain in her legs. We then brought her to the SNNIT Hospital, where she requested to be discharge due to complications.

“When they discharged her, after two days, we realized she was still not feeling well. So we rushed her to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for medical attention and this morning at 3am she passed away,” Arafat stated.
