A 55-year-old fetish priest is said to have shot his longtime partner after an argument over sex and then shot himself shortly after.
According to a newspaper article from the DailyGuide Newspaper dated August 23, 2023, the unfortunate tragedy took place in Ejisu-Juaben in the Ashanti Region and shocked the locals.
According to the news source, the fetish priest, whose real name is Akwasi Antwi, allegedly shot his girlfriend, Ama Atta, at close range at around 9:30 on Saturday night using a single-barrel long rifle.
The fetish priest, Antwi, and Ama Atta, his girlfriend, were said to have been dating for a while, according to eyewitnesses in the report, but their relationship had just suffered a setback.
According to the eyewitness, Antwi had complained about Ama Atta’s refusal to have sex with him and had accused her of being a cheater.
Around 9:30 pm on the fateful day, the fetish priest reportedly arrived at Ama Atta’s house carrying a single-barrel long rifle.
Antwi went to the residence with the rifle and there was a fight. Ama Atta warned Antwi not to bring a weapon to her house once again during the fight.
Antwi momentarily left the scene as the debate heated up, only to return a short while later to accuse Ama Atta of being unfaithful to him.
