On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson will deliver his first budget to the parliament.
In accordance with Mahama’s vision, the budget would offer a thorough analysis of the economy as well as the government’s proposed policies to restart and support Ghana’s economic reform drive.
This was revealed at a press conference following the government’s first Cabinet meeting by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of Government Communications.
He stated that recommendations from the National Economic Dialogue, which will be held a week earlier on March 3 and 4, 2025, will inform the measures that will be published in the budget.
“The Presidential Advisor on the 24-hour Economy, Mr Gossie Tandoh, proceeded with preparations for the full rollout of President Mahama’s primary policy to transform Ghana”.
The terrible state of the economy was also conveyed to the Cabinet by Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Finance Minister. Compared to what we knew prior to the elections, the numbers are significantly worse.
Briefings on security, the agriculture reform program, the 24-hour economy policy rollout plan, and the status of the economy were all part of the inaugural Cabinet meeting, which he claimed was primarily to set standards for the Ministers.
