The Finance Ministry has given the Ghana Education Service (GES) permission to hire the class of 2022 qualified teachers who will graduate from public education colleges throughout the nation through the Ministry of Education.

As a result, in order to be considered for employment, the Ghana Education Service is calling for applications from eligible individuals.

The GES’s most recent hiring drive is limited to qualified educators from Public Colleges of Education who received their first degree in 2022.

A Press Release from the office of the Director General of GES states, “The Ghana Education Service is requesting  applications from qualified trained teachers who graduated with first degree from only Public Colleges of Education, to be considered for employment”.

The announcement goes on to say that in order to be eligible for consideration, an applicant must have passed the national teacher licensure exam, finished their college degree in 2022, have no pending examinations or referrals, have fulfilled their mandatory national service requirements, and be prepared to work wherever their services are needed.
