Michael Osei, 53, the former head coach of Asante Kotoko, passed suddenly.
After being taken to the hospital for chest symptoms, Osei, who was a player for the Porcupine Warriors before becoming a coach for the team, reportedly passed away in London. Many people close to him are shocked by his sudden death.
The former midfielder had a prosperous coaching career, leading Bibiani Gold Stars to a remarkable fifth-place result in the Ghana Premier League in 2022–2023.
Additionally, he was an assistant coach for the Black Meteors, Ghana’s U23 national team.
For Ghanaian football, Osei’s passing is a huge loss, especially for those who valued his efforts as a coach and player.
