GES interdicts WASS Headmistress over illegal fees

An official release has stated that Dr. Shine Agatha Ofori, the headmistress of the West Africa Senior High School (WASS) in Adenta in the Greater Accra Region, has been interdicted with immediate effect.

According to a statement released by the Ghana Education Service (GES) on Thursday, 20 July, Ofori was detained for allegedly obtaining unlicensed school fees.

“Management of GES has interdicted Dr Mrs Shine Agatha Ofori, Headmistress of West Africa SHS, for unauthorised collection of money from students.”

“She is to handover the administration of the school to the regional director of Education pending final determination of the case by the regional disciplinary committee,” the GES statement said.
