Today, August 11, 2022, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) released the schedule for the 2022–23 Premier League.
The GFA said that the promotional play-off, which Tamale City won to replace the demoted AshantiGold, prevented the fixtures from being released earlier than planned.
The weekend of Friday, September 9 to Monday, September 12 will see the start of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League across the nation.
Asante Kotoko SC, the league’s defending champion, will begin the season at home while Accra Hearts of Oak will do so on the road.
Samartex 1996, Nsoatreman FC, Kotoku Royals, and Tamale City are some of the toughest opponents for the newcomers.
Asante Kotoko will open the new campaign against newly promoted Nsoatreman FC at Baba Yara Stadium, while Accra Hearts of Oak travel to Dormaa to take on Aduana FC at the Agyeman Badu Park.
The Kotoku Royals FC will host Accra Lions FC in their inaugural Premier League match.
Karela United FC will compete against Tamale City FC, a newcomer, in Anyininase, while Samartex 1996 will travel up north to take on Real Tamale United.
Match dates for the relevant games would be made public in due course due to television broadcast scheduling.
