“Ghana awaits your leadership from tomorrow” – Akufo-Addo to Mahama

President-elect John Mahama was given a tour of the Jubilee House by President Akufo-Addo prior to to tomorrow’s inauguration.

This marks the end of the process of transition.

President Akufo-Addo spoke confidently of the upcoming government during the tour, saying that “the country awaits your leadership from tomorrow.”

“You are welcome, and Madam Vice President-elect, you are also warmly welcome.”

He gave President-elect Mahama his word that he would be ready to assist the incoming administration.

President-elect Mahama responded by thanking the outgoing president and his transition team for making the process peaceful and easy.

“Thank you very much. It’s a privilege to be here with you on the day before the inauguration,” John Mahama said.

“We are ready with the information we’ve received to begin work immediately after the ceremony tomorrow.”

“You are the first occupant of these premises, but I know the geography of it,” John Mahama said, emphasizing his connection with the Jubilee House. “The last time I was president, I didn’t live here.”

“I want to thank you for what has been a cordial transition process. You can count on us to continue the spirit of cooperation even in government.”

As the country awaits President-elect John Mahama’s leadership in the years to come, the inauguration, which is set for tomorrow, officially begins his mandate.
