In the aftermath of parliament’s acceptance of President Akufo-Addo’s six cabinet nominees, National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer candidate Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has cautioned against actions that could foster disunity within the NDC.
He has urged the party to unite and fight tirelessly to take office in the 2024 elections.
He said it in response to criticism leveled in public against some NDC MPs for failure to vote down the ministerial candidates on Friday, March 24, 2023 as instructed by the NDC party.
“It is clear that our country is in an extremely difficult position, and downsizing the government is in the interest of the public. However, I would like to caution against the use of negative language towards our MPs,” in a tweet Dr. Duffuor said.
Although it may be alluring to express our annoyance in this manner, he continued, “I do not believe it will help us find a solution to our challenges and reach at a consensus that will position our great Party for Victory 2024.”
