Ghana’s covid-19 cases hit 1064

The Ghana’s present active COVID-19 cases have increased to 1,064 with no deaths recorded.

There has been a surge in Covid-19 instances in Ghana this month, setting the country at the route to its 5th wave ever since the outbreak started in March 2020.

The Greater Accra Region is topping the chart with 923 active cases and is distantly observed through the Ashanti Region with forty seven cases. Cumulatively, 163,332 Covid-19 instances had been recorded in Ghana.

Ghana’s active COVID-19 cases was below 400 at the beginning of the month of June.

Meanwhile, 16,396,820 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed.

Also, 6,950,095 persons have been fully vaccinated with 10,223,563 persons receiving one dose so far.

Meanwhile, Ghanaians are being advised to get vaccinated.
