Ghana’s inflation rate for April drop to 41.2%

According to data released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), the rate of inflation for April 2023 dropped to 41.2%.

For the month of March 2023, the inflation rate was 45%.

This represents a decrease of 3.8 percentage points from the inflation rate in March 2023.

After experiencing a further decrease in March, the national inflation rate has now decreased for four consecutive months.

Inflation in the food industry was 48.7% compared to 50.8% in March.

Non-food Compared to the 40.6% rate recorded in March, inflation was 35.4%.  Month-on-month Inflation outside of food was 0.7%.

Inflation rates for domestically manufactured goods were 38.2% while for imported goods they were 43.1%.
