Osabutey Abass, a renowned security analyst and executive director of Platform for Peace and Security Africa, has raised fears that Ghana’s continuous post-election violence may have a major effect on foreign direct investment in the nation.

Abass claims that the increasing damage to state properties and institutions will discourage foreign investors from visiting Ghana.

In an interview with Dwabrem, the afternoon political program on Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM hosted by rince Nii Ade (Dok Cash) he underlined this position.

Abass warned that getting embroiled in the instability could negatively affect his administration and advised President-elect John Dramani Mahama to urge all NDC members to refrain from doing so.

Ghana’s peaceful elections have won praise from throughout the world, and Abass warned the young people not to tarnish this success.

The nation’s standing as a stable democracy is vital for drawing in foreign investment, which is necessary for its economic development.
