President Akufo-Addo has proclaimed Monday, August 5, 2024, to be a public holiday, according to Interior Minister Henry Quartey.
The Minister notified the public on Sunday, August 4, 2024, that Founders’ Day is a Statutory Public Holiday.
Nonetheless, in compliance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601), His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana has declared Monday, August 5, 2024, as an additional public holiday, and it should be observed as such throughout the nation.
