Institutional suppliers have reportedly received GHC26,000,000.00, according to the government.
As part of the Free Senior High School (FSHS) initiative, the Ministry of Education stated in a statement that the funds will go to suppliers who provide supplies including stationery, P.E. kits, and school uniforms, among other items.
“The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the disbursement of GHC26,000,000.00 to institutional suppliers’ responsible for the supply of school uniforms, P.E Kits, stationery, etc as part of the Free Senior High School program.
According to Kwasi Kwarteng, the Ministry’s spokesperson, “the amount released, underscores the Government’s commitment to fostering quality education and ensuring the smooth running of educational institutions.”
“The Ministry affirms its commitment to ensuring a smooth, timely, and efficient distribution of resources as we continue in our efforts to improve and sustain the quality of education in Ghana,” he said.
