Kofi Adams, the minister-designate for sports and recreation, has promised the people that the government will increase stadium security nationwide.

This comes after an Asante Kotoko supporter was tragically stabbed on matchday 19 during a league game.

The supporter was killed during their altercation with Nsoatreman FC, which took place following a Ghana Premier League game in Nsoatre.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has responded by suspending all Premier League games while inquiries are ongoing.

Kofi Adams denounced the violence in an interview with JoyNews’ The Pulse.

He emphasized that the police will conduct a thorough investigation and hold those accountable, and that no one is above the law.

The owner of the team involved in the incident has since been invited by the authorities.

The circumstances leading up to the deadly attack are also being investigated by the police.
