Two persons are believed to have died following a helicopter crash at the Oninku Drive School Park in Tema Community One (1) on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The helicopter allegedly fell from the sky before landing in the park, prompting a quick reaction from emergency responders.
Members of the Ghana National Fire Service hurried to the location to put out the fire at the accident site, while personnel from the Ghana Police Service provided support with security and rescue efforts.
Emergency responders managed to recover the burnt remains of three individuals thought to have been aboard the plane.
Ahmed Abdullia, the Assemblyman for the Kwesi Plange Electoral Area, confirmed that there were no injuries among students in the incident.
Officials have not yet released additional information regarding the details on the cause of the crash.
