The Western Region’s Wassa Amenfi East constituency’s Member of Parliament, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, has graciously allowed the bitumen to be applied on the roads in Wassa Akropong Town.

The incumbent opposition MP has given local contractors the go-ahead to start renovating and reconstructing the roads in Akropong Town.

The member of parliament expressed his sincere thanks to the contractors for their prompt response to his request, even as he praised the work’s quality and steady development thus far.

The MP for Amenfi East, also known as “Home Boy,” disclosed that improving the town roadways will increase business and improve the quality of life in the area.

He mentioned that a number of people will see increase in their enterprises, including merchants and commercial drivers.

The MP who’s the NDC 2024 parliamentary candidate for Amenfi East said his assessment of the deteriorated nature of Wassa Akropong town roads and the negative impact on vehicles, motorbikes, and pedestrians informed his decision to explore temporal solution, thus to upgrade the roads.

Hon. Nicholas Amankwah has however charged the contractors to ensure timely completion of work for stress free transportation.

The NDC PC claims that this action complements the numerous road-reshaping projects he has carried out in various Wassa Amenfi East constituency areas with the goal of giving commuters the much-needed respite.

During the term of former President John Mahama in 2016, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah was the District Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East.

Several road developments in Wassa Akropong and the surrounding area were completed during his brief six-month tenure as the DCE.

Unfortunately, potholes have started to appear on most of the roads, making travel challenging.

However, NDC lawmaker Nicholas Amankwa has sprung into action to save the city’s drivers from their ongoing struggles and need for an improved road system.
