Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has stated that he firmly believes that he can make a constructive contribution to Ghana and that divine intervention can help him achieve this goal.
As part of his Western regional campaign tour, he expressed his views on Thursday, May 2, at a meeting with the clergy in Takoradi.
“I believe that I can do something for Ghana. I believe God uses everybody that he wants to use to change the society…I believe that something good can come from Walewale and if God says that it should come from Walewale it will come from Walewale,” he stated.
In addition, he urged the church to step in and stop politicians from jeopardizing national security for personal benefit.
The Vice President added that his upbringing instilled in him a respect for all religions.
As a result, he promised to work with the church to address some of the issues pertaining to national development.
