If Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former finance minister, is chosen as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate and goes on to become president of Ghana, he has pledged to address the country’s economic problems within two years.
He claimed to have a proven track record of overseeing the nation’s finances.
The former Governor of the Bank of Ghana remarked, “When it comes to the economy, actions speak louder than words,” when speaking to NDC delegates as part of his bid to be chosen as the party’s flagbearer.
“My record speaks for itself and it is clear that I have the experience and vision to fix the economy within two years.
“With my leadership, we will create jobs, stabilize the economy, and ensure that our country’s development is on the right track. Let’s work together towards a better future for all Ghanaians.”
